MPU preparation
Without preparation the German MPU usually goes wrong. With honest, structured preparation the odds are considerably better.
Why preparation is decisive
Anyone caught driving in Germany with more than 1.1 per mille of alcohol: on a bicycle, too, generally loses their licence. To get it back you usually need the medical-psychological assessment, known as the MPU.
Failure rates are considerable. That is rarely down to a lack of goodwill, but to the fact that the MPU examines something almost nobody prepares for on their own: a comprehensible, honest and stable change in your own handling of alcohol or drugs, and the ability to present that credibly in conversation.
You should know that without preparation, obtaining a positive MPU report is unlikely. That is exactly where I come in.

How I prepare you
Taking stock
We go through your file, the reason for the assessment and any conditions in detail. Only then can we say what the assessment centre will expect.
Working it through
The heart of the work: what happened back then, why, and what has genuinely changed since? Without that clarity, memorised answers will not help.
Evidence
Abstinence proof, documents, timeframes: we clarify what you need and when you must start, the point that otherwise costs most people a whole year.
Interview practice
We rehearse the exploratory interview concretely, so that you stay calm on the day and can describe your change in your own words.
If an alcohol or drug dependency exists, qualified medical treatment belongs at the beginning. MPU preparation makes sense only afterwards. I will tell you honestly in the first conversation if I consider that route necessary.
I have completed comprehensive training and been examined accordingly, so that I can prepare you for the MPU properly.

About the MPU
How early should I start preparing?
As early as possible. The most common and most expensive mistake is starting abstinence evidence too late, the required periods cannot be shortened retrospectively.
How long does preparation take?
That depends heavily on the reason. Some people need a few intensive sessions, others support over several months alongside their abstinence evidence. I will estimate this for your case in the first conversation.
Can you guarantee a positive report?
No, and nobody can do so seriously. The decision rests with the assessment centre alone. What I can promise is that you will walk into the appointment as well prepared as possible and knowing what to expect.
Is it confidential?
Yes. Everything you tell me stays between us. I pass no information to authorities or assessment centres.
Does it work online?
Yes, a large part can be done by video, which is particularly practical when getting to appointments without a licence is difficult.
